Abstract Intellectual property rights have become a vital part in the course of business. They distinguish between the goods and services of similar items available in the market. Many companies own a trademark which makes them stand out in the crowd in the market and also help their customers identify their goods easily. Business is an area where hindrances are unlimited. The hindrance in the way of trademarks that affect the businesses are the infringement happening like unauthorized use of the registered trademark of a reputed company or counterfeiting of the goods of a well-known company. Trademark not only helps in identifying a good or service but also helps in creation of goodwill of the company. In this article we will be discussing various types of trademarks, crimes and infringement connected therewith. |
