THE WORLD AT RACE TO OUTER SPACE: INDIA’S VIABILITY TO EXPLORE THE SPACE TOURISM INDUSTRY?

Abstract
This study has been undertaken to investigate the determinants of outer space activities and the active law and prospects related to it. The paper has been divided into four parts, where the first part deals with the concept of space which in detail defines the terminologies related to outer space. In the second part of the paper, the formulated law, policies, and conventions have been mapped out related to space and steps related to cognizance have been discussed in detail. The third part explains the need for the legislation required by India to explore the great possibilities of the space tourism industry and how it shall benefit in making its mark in the world. The fourth part of the paper concludes that for the advancement of a nation like India, it needs a proper law to regulate the space industry by various suggestions listed in detail.
