Abstract Women’s rights of Abortion and Reproduction have always been a contested topic among all, especially considering that there are various ways through which the topic may be analysed, and all are capable of rendering distinct results. However, analysing them through the human rights treaties approach takes an interesting turn, especially considering that the main aim of human rights itself is to lead a positive impact to the wronged lives. Therefore, it becomes critical to understand the journey abortion and reproductive rights have engaged in within the human rights regime, and how there is still a long way to go for these rights to become an internationally recognised essential need. This article aims to analyse the development of women’s rights of abortion and reproduction as present within the human rights regime along with an examination of the various issues that the developments have incurred. Lastly, the blog concludes with the possible changes in the current regime and advantages of Self-Managed Abortion in the process |
