By Raj Krishna & Ashish Kumar Nishad
One of the essential benchmarks for measuring the development index of any county is the health services and facilities which it offers to its people. Therefore, it is very important that India keeps its health standards at par with the global standards. As a result, in the year 2018, the Central Government brought a universal health care program by the name of Ayushman Bharat scheme. The supporters of the Aayushman Bharat Scheme argue that the scheme has revolutionized the healthcare facilities in India. However, the critics of Aayushman Bharat scheme argue that the Government is just trying to benefit the private hospitals and not the citizens per se. As a result, a study upon this scheme becomes important.
Aayushman Bharat, healthcare system, universal healthcare, critical analysis.
