CASTEISM, COMMUNALISM, CAPITALISM, COMMUNISM AND COMMON MAN: AN OVERVIEW OF CONTEMPORARY INDIA
By KVVS Satyanarayana
Cynical as it may seem but instead of actually finding viable solutions for the plight of the common man, we as a country ended up creating a whirlwind of irrational social constraints that have sent back society into the dark ages. In an era where we pride ourselves on progress, we created a trap which is far more dreading than the devils trap itself. Instead of answering the questions regarding the sudden predicament of masses, we have found ways to reintroduce evils that took ages to go away. Caste, community, religion, sect, gender and race made a comeback into our lives in ways worse than imaginable.
This became a ruse a form of deception that is making a sane man go in loops and hence divulging him from the path of seeking truth. Centuries have passed since the end of French revolution and yet, the essence of society still remains the same, the clergy still pray, the nobles still play, and it’s the common man who has to pay. The misnomers of economy, the pandemic, the mistakes of bureaucracy have broken the back of the economy and unfortunately a crippled economy leads to a crippled common man.
